It's that time of the year... Christmas is almost here. Houses and Christmas trees are lit and stockings are hung on the fireplace. Children and some adults, can hardly wait for the morning of December 25!
It's also the time of the year for colds, flu and the occasional sore throat. Unfortunately, colds, flu and sore throats make Christmas a little less merry. I am fighting a cold right now! And it's no fun! Cold medicines usually make me a little foggy yet I can't make it through the day without taking a pill or cough syrup every 4 hours. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful to God that He has allowed us the capacity to craft drugs for specific illnesses. I just don't like taking them. One of the things I look forward to in Heaven is the absence of pain, trials and being sick.
Today promises to be a good day. I have a meeting this morning, another one this afternoon and I get to have lunch with a good friend. Between meetings, lunch and taking cold medicines (see previous paragraph) I plan on working on New Life Journey classes for the Spring and catching up on a few things that I have placed on a back burner.
Oh... One more very important thing... If you haven't voted for the Clorox: Power for a Bright Future you can follow this link: http://powerabrightfuture.com/! and vote for the Sulphur Springs 3-4 grade campus. You can also text Clorox7805 to 44144. Today is the last day to vote. If we win the new 3-4 grade campus will receive a $50,000 grant from Clorox for new playground equipment.
I hope to see you at church on Sunday. Blessings to you.
Bruce
