A big part of the opening of the ROC is the ministry our church will have with the families involved in the Upward Sports program. We now have 138 boys and girls signed up for playing and another 15 signed up for cheerleading. Each time these kids have a workout they are taught a devotion by their coach and they are given incentives to go online and read more as well as memorize scripture each week. This is a great opportunity to reach the kids in our community who might not hear the gospel otherwise. Please pray for the next two months that kids will come to know Christ or strengthen their walk with Him. The parents are also involved in a halftime devotion each Saturday so pray that the player's family members will respond to the gospel. This is what Jesus meant when He told us to be His witnesses, beginning in Jerusalem. Have a great day.
